Recitations, mantras, sacred syllables - a 4000 year old Hindu tradition
The evening provides an introduction to the multi-ethnic and multicultural Hindu tradition of hymns, mantras and sacred syllables that are part of the world heritage. In the Sarva Devata Temple of the Omkarananda Ashram, you will learn and experience, for example, why hymns can help calm the restless mind, how Hindus experience the power of mantras or how they incorporate the breath into prayer.
